SBCPA is excited to announce another CE event available to members.  We are co-sponsoring an APAIT workshop with CPA in Santa Barbara on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 9am-4pm.  This workshop is worth 6 CE credits and is entitled:

Hot Topics in Ethics and Risk Management In Psychological Practice (Sequence V)

presented by Jeffrey N. Younggren, Ph.D., ABPP

If you have never attended one of Dr. Younggren's workshops, you are in for a treat!  He is an excellent presenter, and an expert on Law and Ethics.  We highly recommend this workshop, and are thrilled that we are able to host this event in Santa Barbara.

Not only will this workshop fulfill your Law and Ethics Board of Psychology CE requirement, but Psychologists insured through the Trust-sponsored Professional Liability Program receive a 15% premium discount on professional liability insurance for the next two years for attending the workshop. For group practices, 50% or more of the group must attend for the discount to apply. (Discount is not applicable for student and researcher/academician insured.)

Please see the attached flyer for more details.

Registration:  Register directly through CPA at their website: https://m360.cpapsych.org/event.aspx?eventID=79235&instance=0

Discounts available if you:
  • register before 10/7/13
  • are a dual member of CPA and SBCPA
  • are a member of either CPA or SBCPA
Also, SBCPA will receive a portion of any profits (after expenses) from this workshop.  So, your attendance can actually help support SBCPA events, such as: Members' socials, and our monthly Free Salons.  Please forward this to any colleagues who are not members of SBCPA, as therapists from other counties, and therapists licensed through the BBS are welcome to attend and will receive their required CE's in Law and Ethics, as well.

Please contact either Karen Lehman or John Lewis if you have any questions.
